Full payment at the time of booking is required for all online bookings.
For bookings via phone, 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment is required 30 days prior to your stay.
Gift vouchers require full payment on purchase and no refund is available for any part of the voucher.
Payment can be made via credit card. We accept Visa and Mastercard. Direct deposit can be made with prior arrangement.
We understand that sometimes life throws us some curly situations, and bookings may need to be changed or cancelled.
Off – Peak:
For cancellations of more than 30 days notice, a full refund is given, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations of less than 30 days will forfeit their payment.
Peak (School holidays, long weekends and local events and festivals):
For cancellations of more than 60 days notice, a full refund is given, minus a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations of less than 60 days will forfeit their payment.
Transfer of a booking may be possible and will attract a $50 transfer fee. Transfer requests made less than 14 days prior to arrival date will forfeit payment in full. Transferring a booking is subject to availability and is for the value of the original booking. The transferred booking date must be within 6 months of the original booking. The guest must cover any increase in tariffs. Special offers or packages may not be transferable.
COVID Travel restrictions:
If your stay with us is impacted by COVID travel restrictions, you will be able to transfer your booking to new dates with no penalty. If you prefer to cancel we can offer a refund minus a $50 cancellation fee.
We have a minimum booking period of two nights, but single night bookings may be accepted at our discretion. Single night bookings cannot be made online, so please call us if you wish to book for a single night.
An additional surcharge of $60 will be applied to all single night bookings.
Longer minimum night bookings may apply for Christmas, Easter, long weekends and public holidays.
Check in time is from 2pm
Check out time is by 10am
Late check out is possible if we do not have changeover guests checking in on the same day as you are checking out. Just ask closer to your departure day and we can then confirm if this is possible.
We take pride in our business and how we present it to you. Consequently, Alpine Valley Cottages are strictly non-smoking inside. However, an ashtray is provided on the verandah. We ask that you put out your rubbish and do the dishes and ensure you leave the cottage neat and tidy when you check out.
An additional cleaning fee of $100 will be debited to your credit card if evidence of smoking inside is found.
If the cottage is left in an unsatisfactory state with regards to cleanliness any extra cleaning will be charged to your card at a rate of $50 per hour.
There is a flat $5 fee for crockery and glassware breakages. For any other breakages and any cleaning requiring prompt action, please contact us.
We reserve the right to make a charge to the guest’s credit card for damages to our property or where excessive cleaning is required within 7 Days of checkout.
Alpine Valley Cottages is a pet-free environment, with the exception of guide dogs.
